Dr. Thorp comes from a long line of Physicians in Eastern North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and George Washington School of Medicine. He served nine years in the U.S. Navy in locations around the world. Dr. Thorp practices general orthopaedics but takes particular interest in athletic injuries and sports medicine. He has served as Team Physician for local High Schools for over fifteen years.
